Our disease resistant, triploid oyster seed come from broodstock that are selectively bred by the Virginia Institute of Marine Science. Two lines that are favorites of North Carolina farmers are DEBY’s and HNRY’s. Both are bred for disease resistance, fast growth and survival. These oysters have grown very well in almost every waterbody along the North Carolina coast.

We also offer triploid oyster from Cherrystone Aqua-farms, which are propagated using tetraploid broodstock produced locally at Cherrystone. We have had tremendous success with the Cherrystone lines and they grow very well in North Carolina waters, as well.
