I have always had an affinity for Jarrett Bay and the land that touches it, especially the piece of land on which the old clam house was built. In the four years since moving back to the area, I’ve learned that I’m not the only person who loves this place. Folks have asked if they could be baptized here, hold a memorial service here and most recently, the Williston Methodist Church asked if they could have their Easter Sunrise here. I attended the Sunrise Service and it was beautiful!
Travelers stop to take pictures of the bay or the mosaic mural; some locals regularly have their morning coffee and breakfast sitting in their trucks looking out over the bay. We love hearing the stories of people growing up here and what this old clam house means to them. For people living Down East, this is definitely more than “just a piece of land”.
